Indifference

It's been said (and I can't seem to argue with it!) that there is no opposite of the word violence. Think about it... What does that say about our culture? our life? our history and tradition? ...if we can't even come up a word that is the opposite of 'violence'! When you look up the antonym for violence, it often lists "peace, passivity" but that doesn't really grasp the "oppositeness" that I understand when I see love/hate, etc. Just some thoughts...
