A Bread That Will Not Spoil

{A Communion reflection}
The "Eu" in Eucharist, as the Lord's Supper is often called, means "good,"
and "charis" [which means, “favor, grace”]is also the root of our English word "caress."
Possibly then, the Lord's Supper is the "good caress." A ‘caress’ from God.
In this sacrament God comes to us and touches us and says, "I love you."

Ooh, I like this. I always think of "thanksgiving" when I think of Eucharist, but this gives it a different spin. Thanks!
